How to store and export metadata on Omise?
Metadata plays a key role in bridging your store’s backend system to ours. In addition to keeping track of key information online, you can also export data in CSV, JSON or XLSX format for offline use. You can export the data from the dashboard, and soon, you will be able to use our API.
Unsure of the use cases for storing metadata on Omise? Check out this post.
You can view all metadata from the dashboard by simply clicking into the charge details.
Choosing export fields
To select data fields to include to your export, go to settings on your dashboard. There, you’ll find the export settings.
Next, add fields you want to include in your report. For example, add the order_id
field to the Charge report. Click Update settings to save the configuration.
Please make sure that the metadata fields you add here are identical to the original fields you created. Difference in field name (even by one character) may result in an empty column in your export file.
Exporting metadata
To export the file, head to the Charges page on your dashboard, and click on your preferred format; CSV, JSON or XLSX.
When exporting in CSV and XLSX format, the metadata you selected will be displayed in the columns to the far right of the sheet, however when exporting in JSON, all metadata that is attached to the charge will be included to the export.
